Miss Cherie Manna, artistic director and owner, is a talented and accomplished dancer, instructor and choreographer. Her extensive training and performing experience led her into her career.
After accepting and completing a two year teaching apprenticeship with former director Miss Priscilla Gibson, Miss Cherie became an instructor and choreographer for the studio as well as for many of the Manchester Ballet Company’s productions.
For many years Miss Cherie danced leading roles in many ballets as a senior member and soloist for the former Manchester Ballet Company.
In July 2010, after participating for four years, Miss Cherie graduated from the Teacher Training School of Dance Masters of America (DMA) and is certified by DMA to teach ballet, tap and jazz. She has also participated in events hosted by the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts (NADAA).
Located at 613 East Middle Turnpike in Manchester, Connecticut our professionally equipped studio offers complete dance education at all levels, from preschool to adult.
Dance in its fullest meaning is a performing art. One of the most exciting, fun and valuable experiences for the dance student is the extension from the classroom to the stage, which students of the Manchester School of Dance Arts experience at both the annual “Christmas Spectacular” and June recital – “Show Stoppers.” Each year a ballet choreographed by Miss Cherie is featured at the June recital.
Our curriculum follows a graded course of study so that students are able develop the technique, control, strength, and coordination necessary to become accomplished dancers.
We also emphasize technical training which provides a foundation for those who wish to further their dance education.
